Thom Hume

Hume Engineers was established in 1993 by Thom, a Central Coast native. His professional background includes work with several engineering firms in Southern California, Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo before founding his own company to serve clients throughout the region. Prior to his engineering career, Thom gained valuable experience in the construction industry while working with his father, and later earned his degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. This combination of construction and engineering expertise has shaped the firm’s guiding philosophy: to provide efficient, well-designed solutions that are both practical and constructible.
